INTRODUCTION
Electronic commerce (e-commerce) is defined as “The use of an electronic
network to simplify and accelerate the stages in the business process”. This can
be in form of business to customer (B2C), business to business (B2B), and
consumer to consumer (C2C) transactions. E-commerce delivers new business
opportunities to companies and can help reduce their costs. (Laudon and Traver,
2017).
The fraud begins with earlier the theft of the physical card or the compromise of
data associated with the account including the card account number or other
information that routinely or necessarily be available to a merchant during a
legitimate transaction. The compromise can occur by many common route and
can usually be conducted without typing off the card holder’s merchant or the
bank, at least until the account is ultimately used for fraud. A simple example is
that of a store clerk copying receipts for later use. The rapid growth of credit
card use on the internet has made data base security lapses particularly costly; in
some cases millions of accounts have been compromised.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
E-commerce transaction fraud is with the compromise
of data associated with the account including the card
account number or other information that would
routinely and necessarily be available for a merchant
during a legitimate transaction. There are some
unauthorised users who use credit card to do
fraudulent activities, this research is propose to
develop a web application that will detect the actions
of those unauthorised users on ecommerce.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The aim of this project is to develop a web
application for online transaction detection using
backlogging. The objectives are to:
 Create an application that identify the factors
responsible for credit card fraud.
 Implement the system using backlogging
algorithm
 Adapt the algorithm to detect online transaction
fraud on ecommerce.
 Evaluate the performance of the system.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The mathematical model of the inventory replenishment problem is based on the following assumptions.
 Demand rate is assumed to depend on the existing stock level.
 The time horizon (a random variable) is finite.
 The time horizon completely accommodates first cycles and ends during the cycle.
 Lead time is negligible.
 Replenishment rate is infinite but replenishment size is finite.
 Shortages are allowed.
 Unsatisfied demand is partially backlogged.
 The fraction of shortages backordered is a differentiable and decreasing function of time, denoted by,
where is the waiting time up to the next replenishment, and with.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
 CONCLUSION
This study revealed that one website needs serious improvement in its product
overview and general usability factors, and critical improvement in its product
search factor. This website was least favored in terms of its overall usability
compared to the other websites which are identified in this study. The difficulty
encountered by the participants has something to do with the search and
navigational tools which are absent for this website.
RECOMMENDATION
In order to gain high usability the usability factors should be well
considered when designing or improving an e-commerce platform.
These include consistency, learnability, navigability, simplicity,
readability, content relevance, supportability, interactivity,
credibility and tele-presence. A full definition of these factors is
given below. It should be noted that during this study, no other
potential usability factor were discovered.
