1. Completed actions in the past:
Example:
She finished her work early yesterday.
My family ate seafood last night.
The villagers arrested a thief last weekend.
2. Habitual actions in the past:
Example:
He always played basketball after school when he was a child.
We sometimes drank coffee when we lived in PP.
These workers were never late when they worked in a factory.

4. Actions that were true for a period of time in the past
(not necessarily completed):
Example:
He lived in London when he was a child.
I lived in Takeo for 20 years.
