Fundamentals for EX1200-5

& EX1200-6
Safety Signal
Danger:- DANGER indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
Warning:- WARNING indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
Caution :- CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
Important:- To avoid confusing machine protection with personal safety
messages, a signal word IMPORTANT indicates a situation which, if not
avoided, could result in damage to the machine.
Note:- NOTE indicates an additional explanation for an element of information.
WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
• Wear close fitting clothing and safety equipment appropriate to the job.

You may need:

 A hard Helmet
 Safety shoes,
 Safety glasses,
 goggles, or face shield
 Heavy gloves,
 Hearing protection
 Reflective clothing,
 Wet weather gear Respirator or filter mask.

Be sure to wear the correct equipment and clothing for the job. Do not take
any chances.

NOTE:- Avoid wearing loose clothing, jewelry, or other items that can catch on
control levers or other parts of the machine.
Major Component on Machine
Pre Inspection Before Starting the Machine

INSPECT MACHINE
• Inspect your machine carefully each day or shift by walking around it before you start it to avoid
personal injury.
• In the walk-around inspection be sure to cover all points described in the “PRE-START INSPECTION”
chapter in the operator’s manual.

SAFETY Points for Operators

 Clean mud or grease from your shoes before getting on the machine. Failure to do so may result in the possibility of your shoes slipping off the
pedals, causing a safety hazard.

 Don’t leave parts and/or tools lying around the operator’s seat. Always store them in their proper place.

 Never attach any thing such as a window hanger close to the windowpane. Never place the bottle in the operator’s station. They may cause a fire
and impede visibility.

 Don’t listen to music headphone or the radio, and don’t use a cellular telephone in the operator’s station while driving or operating the machine.

 Keep inflammable and/or explosive away from the operator’s station.

 Don’t leave a lighter anywhere in the operator’s station. The lighter may explode when temperature in the operator’s station increases.
Cabin Controls Panels

1) Various Operation Modes:-

 E-Mode.
 P-Mode.
 S/P or H/P Mode.
 Slow & Fast Travel Mode.

2) Auto Idle
3) Quick Idle
Function of E , P & S/P or H/P Mode

E- Mode :- Fuel Consumption & Noise Level are Reduced, allowing Machine to Operate Efficiently.
P- Mode :- Use P- Mode when General Digging work is needed.
SP or HP Mode:- Use these Mode when Extra fast speed or heavy duty work is needed

Auto Idle :- Reduces the Engine Speed from 1850 Rpm to 1400 Rpm , when no operation is done within 03 sec.
Quick Idle:- Reduces the Engine speed from 1850 Rpm to 850 Rpm , when quick idle push button is pressed.
Slow Travel Mode:- Reduces the Pump flow, hence Reduces the Load on Engine, (Less fuel consumed as well as Travel
device wear & tear also reduces)
Fast Travel Mode:- Increases the Pump flow, hence load on Engine increases. ( Fuel Consumption Increases as well as
Travel device wear & Tear increases)
BOOM MODE SELECTION SWITCH
Comfortable Mode ON: Prevents the base machine from being raised to reduce vibration while
excavating.
Power full Mode OFF: Allows the base machine to be raised so that the machine can be
evacuated from soft ground.

HEAVY LIFT SWITCH

Boom and arm power will increase when heavy lift switch is turned on.
AUTO-LUBRICATION TIMER SWITCH
 Turn ALU timer switch to set the auto-lubrication time interval. The auto-lubrication
interval cam be set in three stages of 10, 20 and 30 minutes.

STEP LIGHT SWITCH

 Press step light switch to push on step light located on the top of the cab.

FUEL GAUGE
 When red fuel indicator light, approximately 190 L of fuel remain.
 Fuel tank capacity.......1400 L

Swing Lock System

Working Principle
 Earlier Swing Pilot line was directly connected with Control Valve, hence when pilot lever is operated, Swing was operated.
 Now, the same pilot line has been routed through solenoid valve, hence whenever required, it can be blocked, so that swing operation can be locked,
when not required.
Advantages
 When swing Operation is not required, while doing other operation, it can be locked.
 It provide option for maintenance person to lock swing and take trial run of other attachments operation.
 It will help in interlocking ladder operation and ensure no accidental swing in engine ON position.
 Eliminate Property damage, during accidental swing operation.
