Active and Passive

Voice
Active voice means that a
sentence has a subject that
acts upon its verb (the
subject does the action).
Passive voice means that a
subject is the recipient of a
Examples (Active to Passive)
. The boy hit the ball. The ball was hit by the boy.

The villagers watched Xena. Xena was watched

by the villagers.

The service team collected the parts. The parts


were collected by the service team.
