Why Advanced Training?
• Mentors need to add to their repertoire after induction training
as they experience different challenges in the mentoring
relationship
• Enabling mentoring programmes to offer ongoing mentor
education and training as part of the mission towards continuous
improvement
• Ongoing mentor development enhances support and
quality outcomes for mentees
• Mentors can share their experiences and network with their
peers
• Mentors experience an organisation that cares about its people
by supporting and recognising its most precious assets, its
volunteers
