INTRODUCTION

Industries are the building block of our country. Industries are the building
block of our country. Industry development lead to growth of agriculture,
transport and communication. So it's safety is much necessary. Basically
industrial safety system is an activity of reducing, controlling, eliminating
hazards, risks, accidents from the industries to protect it’s employees
Industrial safety is defined as the law, policies and protections put in place to
ensure plant and factory worker protection from hazards that could cause
injury.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
In our project we use different sensors which gives us alarm
or any types of sign in detect of any danger and also take
necessary steps to prevent this. Here we use two IR sensor
one for detection of fire and another for detection of the
presence of any person in a prohibited area. We use a gas
sensor which detect any type of harmful gas in the industry
and a temperature sensor is used to show the temperature and
humidity value. All the sensors are connected to a
microcontroller chip called nodeMCU, which collect all the
data and take necessary step according to the pre loaded code
in Arduino software. Here we use ESP8266 module which
has inbuilt Wi-Fi module. So through this we connect the
microcontroller chip to Blynk database. This is where we
need the IoT section. The data will be stored in the database.
We can access that data later using the mobile application.
INDUSTRIAL IoT

The industrial internet of things refers to the extension and use

of the internet of things (IoT) in industrial sectors and
applications.
IIoT is a part of industry 4.0

INDUSTRY 4.0

Industry 4.0 is the digital transformation of production and related industries and
value creation processes.
We are currently implementing the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
This is characterised by the application of information and communication
technologies to industry and is also known as "Industry 4.0".
CIRCUIT DESIGN
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

 ESP-8266 NodeMCU :- It is used to connect objects and let data transfer using the
Wi-Fi protocol.
 MQ135 gas sensor :- It is used to detect any types of harmful gas in the industry.
 DHT11 temperature sensor :- It shows the temperature and humidity value
 IR sensor :- one IR sensor detect fire and other one detect the presence of any person
in a prohibited area.
 4 channel relay :- It is used for control high voltage, high current load such as motor,
solenoid valves, lamps and AC load.
 SMPS :- It is used for obtaining controlled dc power supply.
 LCD :- It is used to show temperature and humidity value
 CPU fan
 Pump
 Buzzer
 LED
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

Arduino ide software:- The open-source Arduino Software (IDE)

makes it easy to write code and upload it to the board.
Blynk application:-Blynk is a Platform with iOS and Android apps
to control Arduino, Raspberry Pi over the Internet. It’s a digital
dashboard where we can also build a graphic interface for project.
WORKING

After the collection of data by sensors the data is sent to the microcontroller
unit and Blynk application.
For example:- In detection of fire or any person in a prohibited area or in
presence of any harmful gas a buzzer will buzzed, LED glows up, the current
status is showed in the LCD display and we also get notification of current
status in our mobile phone through Blynk application. Also a fan will
automatically turned on in detect of any harmful gas and water from a pump
will pumped in detect of fire. Temperature and humidity value is also displayed
in LCD screen through temperature sensor.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES

 Safety propose
 Faster transmission of data  Chances of internet down
occur due to Machine to  Maintenance of sensor
machine communication  Unemployment problem
 Cost saving
 Man power reduction
FUTURE WORK

 We can add energy harvesting systems to

run the IoT system
 We can add multiple sensors to get
accurate value
CONCLUSION

This project specifically aims to make use of loT to actively mon itor and
analyse various factors in a typical heavy industrial zone like temperature
and levels of gases in the environment.
If the above parameters exceed the recommended safe values, the system
can track the same issue and give alerts.
Besides that industrial safety is very important for each and every
employee in the industry because all the workers desire to work in a safe
and protected atmosphere. It is also a duty and moral responsibility of the
company to look after the employee's protection.
