Exploring the

Mechanics of Piezo
Buzzers, MFRC522 RFID
Readers, and SG90
Servo Motors:

A Technical Overview
lntroductio
n servo motors are essential
Piezo buzzers, MFRC522 RFID readers, and SG90
components in many electronic projects.

This presentation provides a technical overview of these three devices,

including their mechanics, applications, and advantages.
Piezoelectrics
• Big word – piezein is greek for “squeeze”
• Some crystals, when squeezed, make a spark
• Turns out the process goes the other way too
• Spark a quartz crystal, and it flexes
• Piezo buzzers use this to make sound
(flex something back and forth, it moves air)

Piezo Buzzers
Piezo buz ers are compact,
lightweight, and easy-to-use sound
generators that convert electrical
signals into sound waves.
Working
principle
ers: black=ground :
Two wires, red & black.Polarity mat

Apply an oscil ating voltage to make

a noise
The buz er case supports the piezo
element and has resonant cavity for
sound

What’s in a Piezo
Buzzer?
Be careful not to crack the white disc
MFRC5 22 RFID
Readers
An R F I D solution uses electromagnetic waves in
radio frequency for data communication.
The system consists of two components – one is
an R F I D transceiver, and the second is an R F I D
transponder.
Transponder has an identification number that
may be a 7-byte long U I D or 4-byte long Non-
Unique Identity Number (NUID).
The main component of an R F I D card/tag/sticker
is an R F I D chip.
The R F I D chips can be read-only or
programmable.
it can be directly interfaced with 5V
microcontrollers like Arduino.
SG90 Servo
Motors
SG90 servo motors are small, lightweight,
and precise motors that can rotate to a
specific angle. They are ideal for
controlling the movement of objects in
robotics, drones, and other applications.

Working:
To make this motor rotate, we have to
power the motor with +5V using the
Red and Brown wire and send PWM
signals to the Orange wire. To
generate PWM
signals something like a 555 Timer
or other Microcontroller platforms
like Arduino is used.
Application
s Piezo buzzers, MFRC522
R F I D readers, and SG90
servo motors have a
wide range of
applications in various
industries, including
automotive, healthcare,
and consumer
electronics.
That's all...
