Traffic congestion

-Lea Naomi Worman

The Problems

• Due to excessive traffic

congestion, we have to deal with:
• being late for work, school,
meetings etc.
• stress and annoyance while
driving
• Wastnig our time
• Public transport
• always overpacked
• Uncomfortable
• Slower than cars
The causes
• Rush hours- too many people want to
move at the same times each day
• the road system does not have the
capacity to handle rush hours without
forcing many people to wait
• Most people use private cars during
the rush hours
• Too much cars on the road
• They don’t use public transport because
it’s uncomfortable, less private and low-
density areas are not connected well
enough -two examples of bus schedules, one in a less
populated area and one in a densely populated area
The solution

•Improve public transport

• Connect public transport to the low-density areas
• Building stations where most people usually go (shopping -American school bus
centers, buisiness districts, beaches, etc. )
• School busses financed by the state

•Best public transport in the world- Hong Kong

• They rent or sell space inside the stations to popular shops,
cinemas etc. – you can watch a movie and go shopping
without technically leaving public transport
• Incredibly connected, fast, cheap and clean

-Hong Kong- Apple store inside the train station
