Compliment is an expression to appreciate or


praise other people

Expressions of Giving Compliment/Admiration

1. “How …”
(Betapa/Alangkah…)

How + adjective + Subject + to be (is, am, are)

Example:
- How clever you are
- How pretty the girl is
- How clean the class is
2. “What…”
(Betapa/Alangkah)

A. What+a/an+adjective+singular noun+(subject+to be)


Example:

- What a beautiful dress (it is).


- What a clever student (you are).
- What an expensive ring (it is).
B. What + adjective + plural noun + (subject + to be)

Example:
- What beautiful dresses (they are).
- What clever students (they are).
- What expensive rings (they are).
