Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ِ‫بِسْمِ الِ الرّحْمنِ الرّحِيم‬

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ِ‫لَ ُأقْسِمُ بِ َيوْمِ الْقِيَامَة‬

[75:1] Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ِ‫ل أُقْسِمُ بِالنّفْسِ اللّوّامَة‬

َ َ‫و‬

[75:2] Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul.

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫ن أَلّن نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَه‬

ُ ‫سبُ الِْنسَا‬
َ ْ‫َأيَح‬

[75:3] Does man think that We shall not gather his

bones?
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫س ّويَ بَنَانَه‬

َ ّ‫علَى أَن ن‬
َ َ‫بَلَى قَادِرِين‬

[75:4] Yea! We are able to make complete his very

fingertips
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫ن لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَه‬

ُ ‫ل يُرِيدُ الِْنسَا‬
ْ َ‫ب‬

[75:5] Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is

before him.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ِ‫ن يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَة‬

َ ‫يَسْأَلُ أَيّا‬

[75:6] He asks: When is the day of resurrection?

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫ق الْبَصَر‬
َ ِ‫فَإِذَا بَر‬

[75:7] So when the sight becomes dazed,

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَر‬

[75:8] And the moon becomes dark,

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫شمْسُ وَالْقَمَر‬
ّ ‫جمِعَ ال‬
ُ َ‫و‬

[75:9] And the sun and the moon are brought

together,
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ّ‫يَقُولُ الِْنسَانُ يَ ْومَئِ ٍذ أَيْنَ الْمَفَر‬

[75:10] Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly

to?
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

َ‫كَلّ لَ وَزَر‬

[75:11] By no means! there shall be no place of

refuge!
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ّ‫ستَقَر‬
ْ ُ‫إِلَى رَبّكَ َيوْ َمئِذٍ الْم‬

[75:12] With your Lord alone shall on that day be

the place of rest.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

َ‫ن يَوْ َمئِذٍ ِبمَا قَدّمَ َوأَخّر‬

ُ ‫ُينَبّأُ الِْنسَا‬

[75:13] Man shall on that day be informed of what

he sent before and (what he) put off.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ٌ‫علَى نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَة‬

َ ُ‫بَلِ الِْنسَان‬

[75:14] Nay! man is evidence against himself,

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫وَلَ ْو أَلْقَى َمعَاذِيرَه‬

[75:15] Though he puts forth his excuses.

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ِ‫ل بِه‬
َ َ‫لَ تُحَرّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ ِلتَعْج‬

[75:16] Do not move your tongue with it to make

haste with it,
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫جمْعَهُ َوقُرْآنَه‬
َ ‫إِنّ عََليْنَا‬

[75:17] Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it

and the reciting of it.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫فَإِذَا قَرَ ْأنَاهُ فَا ّتبِ ْع قُرْآنَه‬

[75:18] Therefore when We have recited it, follow

its recitation.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫ثُ ّم إِنّ عَلَ ْينَا بَيَانَه‬

[75:19] Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it.

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

َ‫كَلّ بَلْ تُحِبّونَ الْعَاجِلَة‬

[75:20] Nay! But you love the present life,

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

َ‫وَتَذَرُونَ الْخِ َرة‬

[75:21] And neglect the hereafter.

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ٌ‫وُجُوهٌ َيوْمَئِ ٍذ نّاضِ َرة‬

[75:22] (Some) faces on that day shall be bright,

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ٌ‫إِلَى رَ ّبهَا نَاظِ َرة‬

[75:23] Looking to their Lord.

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ٌ‫وَوُجُو ٌه يَ ْومَئِذٍ بَاسِ َرة‬

[75:24] And (other) faces on that day shall be

gloomy,
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ٌ‫تَظُنّ أَن يُ ْفعَلَ ِبهَا فَاقِ َرة‬

[75:25] Knowing that there will be made to befall

them some great calamity.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

َ‫ت التّرَا ِقي‬

ْ ‫كَلّ إِذَا َبلَ َغ‬

[75:26] Nay! When it comes up to the throat,

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ٍ‫ل مَنْ رَاق‬

َ ‫َوقِي‬

[75:27] And it is said: Who will be a magician?

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫وَظَنّ َأنّهُ الْفِرَاق‬

[75:28] And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ِ‫وَا ْلتَ ّفتِ السّاقُ بِالسّاق‬

[75:29] And affliction is combined with affliction;

Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

ُ‫إِلَى َربّكَ يَ ْومَئِ ٍذ ا ْلمَسَاق‬

[75:30] To your Lord on that day shall be the

driving.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫صلّى‬
َ ‫ل‬
َ َ‫ق و‬
َ ّ‫فَلَ صَد‬

[75:31] So he did not accept the truth, nor did he

pray,
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫وَلَكِن كَ ّذبَ َوتَ َولّى‬

[75:32] But called the truth a lie and turned back,

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫ثُمّ ذَهَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ ِه يَتَمَطّى‬

[75:33] Then he went to his followers, walking

away in haughtiness.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَ ْولَى‬

[75:34] Nearer to you (is destruction) and nearer,

 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫ثُمّ أَ ْولَى لَكَ فََأوْلَى‬

[75:35] Again (consider how) nearer to you and

nearer.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫ب الِْنسَانُ أَن ُيتْرَكَ سُدًى‬

ُ ‫س‬
َ ْ‫أَيَح‬

[75:36] Does man think that he is to be left to

wander without an aim?
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫َألَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مّن مّ ِنيّ ُيمْنَى‬

[75:37] Was he not a small seed in the seminal

elements,
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫ثُمّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّى‬

[75:38] Then he was a clot of blood, so He created

(him) then made (him) perfect.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫ن الذّكَ َر وَالُْنثَى‬
ِ ْ‫فَجَعَلَ مِنْ ُه الزّوْجَي‬

[75:39] Then He made of him two kinds, the male

and the female.
 Surah al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection)

‫ي ا ْلمَوْتَى‬
َ ‫علَى أَن يُحْ ِي‬
َ ٍ‫ك بِقَادِر‬
َ ِ‫أََليْسَ ذَل‬

[75:40] Is not He able to give life to the dead?
