Reorganizing Occlusion
Reorganizing Occlusion
ABSTRACT
Occlusion and TMJ influence all areas of clinical dentistry and most clinicians acknowledge that occlusion is one of the least understood and practiced of all areas of dental practice. In the current scenario, the primary focus in most dental procedures is towards cosmetic restorations and their articulation in static relationship. Lack of knowledge about potentially pathogenic occlusal conditions, coupled with abnormal muscle function can lead to misdiagnosis and subsequent treatment failure in diverse clinical situations. The course faculty comprising of Prosthodontist, Implantologist, Orthodontist and Periodontist have integrated their knowledge and rich clinical experience to emphasize the common ground, and recognize the importance of adopting a clinical approach to implementing these critical aspects for functional efficiency, optimal esthetics and long term stability of a treated case. This cutting edge information with high-interest presentation will help the clinician to maximize the diagnostic acumen, treatment planning process and proper execution of appropriate treatment strategy for confident clinical problem-solving
