30 families Land for relocation 200x100 feet =20000 sq.f. One family : 15x32 = 480 sq.f. Land cost =10,000 usd. Infarstructure =5,000 usd Housing loan = for one families not more than 900 usd. People can save for housing =15-20 usd./month Repayment =5 years[5-6% interest] Cost of the projects Housing loan 900[land 500 +house 400]x30 =2700 us. Infarstucture [ toilet, water pump] = 5,000 usd. Total support = 33,000 usd. + 30 families, 150 people.

LOW INCOME HOUSING PROJECT


In Mandartala, Gopalganj Municipality
Regional Workshop on Comprehensive Site Planning and Low Cost Housing Gopalganj Municipality, Bangladesh from 09 to 18 June, 2011

Levels Level measurement was based on the TBM, taken on the top of box culvert at RHD RL=100 m

Basically the site is located on the low land, with the height of 8 10 feet above the sea level

The average level is 0.81 m (1.64 feet) lower than the higway.

Settlement pattern of the rural areas in Bangladesh: during rainy season approximately 70% of the country is flooded. In general the areas for infrastructure are built on filled up land, higher than the field level.
