BANGALORE RACES A PROFILE

FIRST HAND STUDY An in-depth study of recent and past records on winners reveals some valid details on how to go about in betting with particular reference to BANGALORE RACES sans considering names of horses, trainers, owners, jockeys, distance or track forms. One can call it as he likes Observations - Theory - Pointers Guidelines, etc. It could be studied continually for a minimum period of four race days then only one could be able to arrive at a fair decision after assessing such results obtained. As a matter of fact one could achieve 90 per cent success. At the outset no one need to follow and take recourse to the author of the topic. It is suggested to view each and every days programme in two different perspectives (I) OTHER THAN JACKPOT POOL RACES; (II) JACKPOT POOL RACES. -----------------------------------------------------------(I) OTHER THAN JACKPOT POOL RACES APPLICABLE: All races - Category/Class 20-45 and above NOT APPLICABLE: All races - Class 00-25 Below & Jackpot Pool Races. DONTS: Rule-1 Rule-2 Rule-3 Rule-4 Do not play all races play selective races. Do not look to races of Category / Class 00-25 and below. Do not bet till the horses reached the starting gate. Do not consider the favourite in Plate Events where the number of runners is 8 or fewer. Do not go after a horse on which there is a sudden rush on betting. Especially in Plate Events do not consider for win a horse which placed second in its latest outing in the same centre in the same season irrespective of the odds offered. Do not tear, destroy or throw away your tickets until the white cone is hoisted

PAGE 2 (I) OTHER THAN JACKPOT POOL RACES APPLICABLE: All races - Category/Class 20-45 and above NOT APPLICABLE: All races - Class 00-25 Below & Jackpot Pool Races. DOs: Rule-8 In most of the races winners are found to be with positive equipments [wearing aluminum shoes]. Hence it is suggested to select within the horses wearing positive equipments. This is found some-times overstepped by some trainers like Sharat Kumar, Puttanna, Prithviraj, Ganapathy in a few races other than cup events, especially in lower Category / Class. But in all main and chief events it has not yet been violated. In Plate Events consider Firstly - Second Favourite odds Below 3 to 1 and not 3 to 1 Secondly - Third Favourite odds Below 6 to 1 and not 6 to 1 Thirdly - If both second and third favourites out of bounds consider first favourite. [Note: While discussing this point, a separate topic on Joint Favourites posted separately, is to be read in conjunction with this point] Rule-10 In Cup events (other than classic and chief events) mostly the winner is within the first three favourites. If any Odds On Hot Favourite wins one can watch out for a double for that trainer irrespective of the owner, jockey or odds. If not, one of his horses at longer odds would definitely get placed, if the trainer failed to get a double. There may be a day of total eclipse. On that day these calculations may not work. Contribute your decision also before applying these guide-lines / theories.

PAGE 4 JOINT FAVOURITES APPLICABLE: All races - Category/Cl. 20-45 and above Plate Events NOT APPLICABLE: All races - Class 00-25 Below & Jackpot Pool Races. It has been pointed out under Rule-9 in the earlier Part-1 that a winner may be decided by the odds offered in all Plate Events other than Jackpot Pool Races. You are all aware of Joint Favourites well known as Jodi wherein the odds for first and second favourites steadily maintain at or more than 2 to 1. Punters are lured with such odds for wagering on them. Assuming that a punter backs both the first and second favourites, if either of them wins, punter is always benefitted. It is always dangerous to indulge in such Jodi betting. It gives a clear danger signal not only the impending race is ruthlessly an upset one but also an indication of totally derailing the rules governed by the guidelines. Our total calculations will not at all work. It is very prudent to keep away from wagering in such races. If anybody wants to venture judiciously against such impending calamity, it may yield very good dividend. In such cases, preferences may be given to horses other than those two favourites falling under Joint Favourites. Again another assumption is that one may tend to go on the third favourite, which may be 3 to 1 and above. If it wins it is considered lucky. Any one may be considered playing on levels, if he makes bet on all the first three favourites. So, considering the above contentions, it is worth leaving the first three favourites. In case, the odds of the third favourite is minimum 4 to 1 one can take a chance. It is worth considering leaving the first two or three favourites, one can take a chance either on the fourth or even the fifth favourite at good odds. While looking for such favourites, please also check whether such horse is seen with positive equipments. Use your own discretion without taking recourse to the author. ------------------

BANGALORE RACES A PROFILE

PAGE 5 JACKPOT POOL RACES A detailed study on the Jackpot Investments reveals the following. Each of the five races in Jackpot Pool should be viewed with different perspectives. No two races are alike, irrespective of the cup, plate events. The reasons behind this are being governed by lot of extraneous factors, without concerning the various rules already discussed in the earlier parts. Before deciding a combination of tickets, bear in mind the basic requirement of the total odds offered on such winning horses in all the five races, should be generally on an average of 15 or 20. If it happens, the total JP pay out could be expected around rupees ten thousand only. More the total odds on the five winners, more the JP pay out. By experience, it is found that one of the five legs the winner is generally first favourite, two legs second or third favourite. As you add up the total odds for these three legs it may come around 6 to 8. So to cross the target of total odds in the other two legs some outsiders or long shot winners are to be necessarily included in the JP Pool combination. It is always recommended to include horses running with positive equipments (aluminum shoes). This qualification is a must for Cup Events. In the case of lower category races some trainers like, Sharat Kumar, B. Prithviraj, Puttanna, Warren Singh, S.Ganapathy make merry with negative equipments also. But most of the times it is reflected in the odds in advance that their wards are on job. This could be taken as a clue for inclusion in JP Pool races. INCLUDE LONG SHOT WINNERS IN JP POOL RACES Sometimes it is found two cup events are included in the JP Pool races. In such cases, one can assume in one of the cup events a winner may be within the first three favourites and in the other cup event it is likely to be a long shot winner. In a race for maiden or non-winners one can look forward to a long shot winner. In any one of the five legs, an apprentice jockey may likely to ride a winner on days other than classic days. In Class B race, if included in JP Pool Races, there is every chance for a long shot winner.

PAGE 6 JACKPOT POOL RACES RIPE TIME FOR JP INVESTMENT First of all it is appropriate to select or wait for a day on which Category/Class-B race is not included in a Jackpot Pool Races. Check whether all the JP races are in the Category/Class 20-45 and above only. It is recommended to take risk on such days on which one can look forward to fix a cinch in one of the five legs. If one is able to stick to winners in two legs, then with the low investment he can aspire to get his JP pool selections passed. Conclusion: Jackpot Pool is not worth an investment. ---------
