INTRODUCTION
Haptic technology refers to sensing and manipulating through touch. Haptic technology is also known as forcefeedback technology. Haptic interfaces were established out of electric field of tele-operation which was then employed remote manipulation of radioactive material.

Haptic Devices

Applications of haptic technology

1)Medical training
computer based teaching tool has been developed using haptic technology

Applications
3) Stroke patients
Patients interact with virtual world by feel.

Cont

4) Prostate Cancer
Improves Brachytheraphy by increasing seed distribution accuracy.

Immersion
Mobiles more useful. Games more electrifying. Automobile controlsmore intuitive. Medical training simulators-more effective.

Future enhancements
Haptic torch for blind
The device housed in torch, detect the distance of object.

Force feedback provided in web pages

This technology automatically assigns generic touch sensations to common web page objects.

Future enhancement ..Cont..

Virtual Brailee Display(vbd)

vbd project was created to investigate lateral skin stretch technology.

CONCLUSION
Future for online computing & Ecommerce. Part of a Persons normal computer interaction.
