Hello there!! I m Einstein!!

I m here to introduce and at the same time, teach you about my work about the theory of relativity. In which I show a different face of time, motion, and space.

So lets go as we turn on the pages. Wish you have a good time in learning and exploring my art.

"What, then, is time? If no one asks me, I know what time is. If I wish to explain it to him who asks me, I do not know." The dictionary is not much help here. Time is defined as a "a period," and a period is defined as "time." This does not get us very far! In reality, the nature of time and space is quite a complex philosophical problem. Lets learn more about time and space that are affected by the motion as we go on in the world of relativity.

Does the measurement of time and space are affected by the motion between an observer and what is being observe?.

YES! Base on the special theory of relativity it deals with the consequences of a lack of a universal frame of references.

Frame of Reference? Special Theory of Relativity? What is this all about?

For you to know more about it, this is the further explanation: A specific frame of reference is always involved in describing something that is in motion. A body in MOTION or what we can say that a body is moving when its position relative to something else is changing. Like we can say that a passenger moves relative to an airplane, the airplane moves relative to the earth, the earth moves relative to the sun, the sun moves relative to the Milky Way (of which it is a member), and so on. In each situation, a frame of reference is part of the description of motion.

C mon guys lets go and explore, to learn more as we turn on to the next pages

At this point, we can differentiate between.

what is called inertial reference frames.

and non inertial reference frames.

This thing that we call Inertial frame of references is non-rotating and non accelerating. It also describe as time homogeneously and space homogeneously, isotropically, and in a time-independent manner.

While this non-inertial references frame is one in which an isolated object appears to be accelerating. It is actually the frame, not the object that is accelerating.

Now that we re finished discussing about the difference between Inertial and non-inertial reference frame, lets go on our main topic which is the special theory of relativity.

Lets Go Further!

At my very young age of 26, my theory of relativity provided a new framework for the old ideas about force, motion and gravitation. In creating this special theory, I made two assumptions about the universe.

My first assumption is that the laws of physics are the same in all inertial frames of reference. This follows from the absence of a universal frame of reference. The assumption states that , the same laws of force and motion hold true in different frames of reference.

Turn on the page for the example.

Upon riding a vehicle we know the vehicle that you are riding is moving on such speed. Consider that the vehicle you are riding is bus. If you are in a bus moving at a constant speed, and you throw up, it will simply fall down on your lap (free fall). But an observer outside the bus, say, on the street across the moving bus, will observe the ball as a projectile which was thrown at an angle from the horizontal (as shown below). That s base on the first assumption that Einstein made .

Turn to the next page to learn about my 2nd assumption.

(A)To the person inside the bus, the ball thrown up is in free fall. (B) To an observer outside the bus, the ball exhibits projectile motion.

Hmmm...

My second assumption is based on the results of many experiments that I've conducted in the past few years. The speed of light 3 x 108 m/s---in free space has the same value in all inertial frames of references.

Using this two assumptions, I was able to prove mathematically that Newtonian laws are for object at rest or moving at very low speeds. But when speeds involved are comparable to that of light, as in the case of subatomic particles, there are corresponding changes in the physical properties.

We all know that almost everyday we go outside to do such things and we usually ride some vehicles. When we re going to work, when going to school, or other places, we usually take a ride to save some energy.

Ok, I think it s time to stretch your body and be ready to bend your mind or else you ll lose yourself.

I believe that smart students like you can easily finish the following task. If I m right turn the pages!

ACTIVITY CARD #1 Fill My Spaces!

A paragraph is given to you. Your task is to fill the blank spaces with the correct word(s). Place the word(s) to the empty spaces to complete the paragraph. It will tell you about two different frame reference. 1 2 3 Go!

This thing that we call _______ of references is non-rotating and non accelerating. It also describe as _______ homogeneously and _______ homogeneously, isotropically, and in a _______ manner. While this _______ reference frame is one in which an isolated object appears to be accelerating. It is actually the _______, not the object that is accelerating.

Time Inertial frame
