Inquiry Project 3
How much is technology changing
our world?
Do I need to change the way I
teach?
Is face to face interaction more or
less effective then solely learning
online?
What type of internet

to visualize your partner’s work, lost internet connection
twice, different brand materials changed outcome

Face-to- Face Egg Drop
Assignment: use a balloon, two pieces of printer
paper, toilet paper roll, four cells from a
Styrofoam egg carton, small eggs, and scotch
tape to drop an egg eight feet without it breaking
Advantages: no barriers between partners, build
one project together, no pauses in tempo, could
show each other ideas
Disadvantages: Although I really didn’t come
across any I could see how having a dominant

Trial One
Trial Two

• New Questions:
Is the internet better then face to
face?

Is combining all the

communications the best solution?
Conclusions
• Everyone type of communication has advantages
and disadvantages
• Face to Face is the most effective alone, but is
even more successful when supplemented by
internet communication
• Using a combination reaches a wider range of
learners

As a teacher I need to strive to combine all of these

communications in my classroom. While I don’t
believe face to face interaction will have go
extinct, I do believe internet communication is
becoming a very influential part of our society
and I should prepare my students for that.
