INTRODUCTION
Red Tacton is a new human area network technology which gives us safe and high speed network transmission.
It comes under short range wireless communication like bluetooth and other near field communications.

Human Area Network

Red Tacton is a technology developed by Japanese company NTT(Nippon Telegraph and telephone company) It sends data over the surface of skin at speeds of up to 10Mbpsequivalent to fast broadband data connection. Red Tacton takes a different technical approach.Instead of relying on electromagnetic waves or light waves to carry data,it uses weak electric fields on the surface of the body as transmission medium. The name choosen for this technology is derived from TACTON(Touch ACT ON) which means action triggered by touching.

Principle of Red Tacton

Red tacton relies upon the principle that the optical properties of an electro optical crystal and can vary according to the changes of weak electric field.

WORKING PROCEDURE
Transmitter induces a weak electric field on the surface of

the body. Receiver senses changes in the weak electric field on the surface of the body caused by transmitter. Red Tacton detects changes in the optical properties of an electro-optic crystal using a laser and converts the result to an electrical signal in an optical receiver circuit.
