About Junior Achievement


JA India strives to provide a platform to bridge education with industry. It aims at inspiring and preparing young Indians to succeed in a global economy. Bob Chapman, managing partner, Region 10, was invited to join the JA India Founders Board . As a member of the board, Bob Chapman will help steer the organization by overseeing the execution of JA Indias strategic vision. JA India programs built on combination of following themes Engage, Equip and Enhance Engage :Develop in students a better perspective of and stronger connect with Indian social, economic and business environment/ landscape/context Equip : Provide frameworks to enhance depth of decision making across academic, social, personal and professional spheres Enhance : Provide operating level understanding of economy, industry, businesses, organizations, functions and roles and therefore help relate better to real life, make informed personal/professional choices, deliver better as a professional

Competition event held at our campus on 17th of January 2009.

Registered students of different colleges (Engineering, Science and Commerce)


Four teams from each college with four members in each team (16 per college) Students will be given a business simulation problem for which they have to give the solution in a one go. It would be an online competition event which allows students to focus on their business skills, cooperation and coordination in achieving at a solution. The best solution would be considered for the second round. Out of the teams registered the event be conducted in two rounds. In the first round eight teams would be selected to be a part of the second round. In the second round the final winners would be selected based upon the solution given by them which is the optimum. (First and Second Prize)

JA-Career With A Purpose (IX-XII)


Conducted the workshop for one group of 35 students of class IX of Powai English Medium School in the month of April. The workshop consisted of three sessions held on two consecutive Saturday one at Deloitte campus and two sessions in the school premises First Session is about the framework of building a career taken by Parag Saigonkar at Deloitte Campus Second session is about a module SEEK which is part of Career with a Purpose Program taken by Deloitte JA Volunteers Third session is about a module GOAL which is part of Career with a Purpose Program taken by Deloitte JA Volunteers

Program Status : Program had been conducted for Powai English Medium School for the students of Class IX (40 students) Looking ahead to conduct for one more school (SM Shetty, GMS, KV) by December

JA Success Skills (VI-VIII)


This program is basically for the school students of classes VI-VIII The program consists of three session each of one and a half hour duration Each Session consists of two modules The Three different sessions would include i) Understanding Success ii) Detailing Success iii) Preparing for Success

JA-More than Money(III-V)


JA More than Money will meet the after-school programming needs of a diverse group of students by providing engaging, academically enriching, and experiential learning sessions in economic education. Example : Students will learn how to open a bank account Different purposes of having their own account like saving, deposit, withdrawal of money etc

JA-Business Ethics (Higher Classes)


JA Business Ethics is designed to foster ethical decision-making in students as they prepare to enter the workforce. Students learn to recognize, analyze, and apply basic terminology, theories, and concepts common to the study of ethics. They explore their own ethical values and philosophy, establish ethical priorities, recognize key ethical issues They will learn to evaluate their decision-making process.

Program Status : Plans to conduct this program are yet in process in Hyderabad

JA-Employability Program (V-XII)


This Program is designed to conduct all the programs to the respective class students for the children of Employees working with Deloitte Employees having children who are in classes V and above are recommended for this program Both Employee and the child would be part of the program being conducted Executive Managers would be heading the sessions for the same

Program Status : Looking ahead to conduct this program during family day on November 29th,2009 (Conditions Apply)

JA-Industry Insight (College students)


This Program gives the college students the insight about structure and functioning of different business industries existing in the corporate world Knowledge about industries like Technology, Consulting, Finance, Banking etc Different companies like Deloitte, KPMG, HSBC etc would come up together and set up booths about different industries at a selected location in any of the company Students from Graduate level would be the targeted participants Executive Managers and above would be helping the students in sharing the knowledge about the industry

Program Status : JA-Mumbai plans to conduct this program are still in progress
