The aim of the project is to develop a software which

will be useful for various Showroom owners , making the management work as easy as it can get.
The final software will help the managers to manage

everything by just sitting at one place.

This project is basically developed using J2EE i.e Java

Enterprise Edition
Framework used : Netbeans

What is NetBeans actually? NetBeans refers to both a platform framework for Java desktop applications, and an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing with Java,JavaScript, PHP, Python , and others.

This software is similar to traditional online

management systems with some additional advantages. They are stated as follows :
Providing employees separate login Ids & passwords ,

so that the manager can have their record till date about the sales they have done. Providing managers a separate window in which they can see the stock/vendor/employee list and can easily manage everything.

An additional feature where the managers can directly

place an order to the vendor. An e-mail form is already present in the managers window , so he doesnt have to login seperately to place an order or to contact any vendor. An additional report generator , where the manager can generate the reports for the sales of the day and has the track of sales on each day since the software was installed.

Creation of Home Page , where we can have a look at

what the project is all about . Also the links to other pages included in the project are displayed on the home page.
Creation of a login page with an option of logging in as

a Manager or an Employee , the next page (after the submission of the form) is displayed according to the role selected (i.e Manager/Employee)

Creating separate windows for Manager and Employee

, giving different pages in Manager window and different in Employee window.

Creation of database for the following : Employee List

Manager List Vendor List

To create an e-mail client so that the manager can

directly place an order using it rather than seperately logging onto some other client.
To Connect the various database created with the

pages of the project using JDBC.


Create a page which has all the records (till date) of the

vendors , employees and sales.

To create a page to generate reports of a particular day

and to add an option to take a print of the report directly.


To give the final touch to the project and document

the whole project.

As there is not much time left for the final submission

of the project and there is still a lot of work to be done , we have decided to work extra on Mondays and Thursdays so that this project is completed on time.
Also we have divided various tasks in between

ourselves so that we can have the maximum effort.
