3G is the third generation of wireless technologies. 3G is mostly used with mobile phones and handsets. 3G or 3rd generation mobile telecommunications, is a generation of standards for mobile phones and mobile telecommunications services.

Introduced in 1990's by the ITU IMT-2000 (International Mobile Communications 2000) Japan was the first country to implement 3G
