TO KNOW THE PRODUCTS WHICH PEOPLE PREFER IN THEIR LIFE. TO KNOW THE BEST SELLING SHAMPOO IN THE MARKET. TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT DIFFERENT TYPE & BRAND OFSHAMPOOS. TO KNOW CUSTOMER SATISFACTION & PREFERENCE.

Hyderabad Central is a shopping mall in Hyderabad, India, located on the Punjagutta road. The mall includes Marks and Spencer, as well as a range of movies, music, books, coffee shops, a food court, supermarket and restaurants. The shopping space is spread over four levels, with PVR Cinemas located on the top (fifth) floor. The mall was launched in November 2004 when the owners, Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited.

Hyderabad Central has the slogan "Shop, Eat and Celebrate".

Our team visited Hyderabad Central Shopping Mall on 11 September 2011 at 11:30 am morning. In the mall, we went the left in the first floor where the stock of various types and brands of shampoos are kept. Stock has Head & Shoulder, Himalaya, Clinic plus, Panteen, Dove, Clear, Loreal shampoos.

SPACE ALLOCATION HERE WE CAN SEE THAT THE SHELF SPACE GIVEN BY RETAILER TO HEAD AND SHOULDER IS MORE AS COMPARE TO OTHER SHAMPOO AND THE LARGER VOLUME SHAMPOO OF THE SAME BRAND IS KEPT IN THE MIDDLE.THE MAIN REASON FOR THIS IS THAT THE SELLING OF HEAD AND SHOULDER IS MORE THAN ANY OTHER SHAMPOO AND THE SHELF SPACE GIVEN TO HEAD AND SHOULDER IS RIGHT SIDE AND JUST BELOW THE TOP SHELF.THE REASON MAY BE THAT THE POSITION IS JUST AT THE EYE LEVEL OF THE CUSTOMERS .JUST IN THE THIRD SHELF LEFT SIDE IS HIMALAYA SHAMPOO.IN THE TOP SHELF LEFT SIDE IS GIVEN TO SUNSILK SHAMPOO THE MIDDLE PART WAS GIVEN TO THE PANTEEN THEN RIGHT TO THAT GARNIER FRUCTIS WAS KEPT ANDAFTER THAT LOREAL WAS KEPT.AFTER THAT IN THE DOWN SHELF ALL TYPE OF THE SHAMPOO WERE KEPT IN BUNCH AND NO SPECIAL ORDER WAS MAINTAINED I.E GENERALLY IT WAS KEPT AS NO CUSTOMER LOOK IN THE DOWNSIDE GENERALLY.

CUSTOMER PREFERENCE

We asked the salesman stood near us, which of the shampoo among all of them has largest selling, the salesman told us customers prefer Head & Shoulder shampoo most, and then Clinic all clear and then Panteen & Himalaya.
Then we went to the customers and got their opinions on shampoos, they use. One of the customers Mr. T. Subhas Rao told us, they use Head and Shoulder for the dandruff control. Miss Vijity told us, she uses Panteen shampoo for smooth and silky hair, also for hairfall control. According to salesmans opinion & customers

FINDING (CONCLUSION)
From the above Survey we found that most of the customers are quality oriented. Their first importance in any product is quality, after that quantity and third importance is price, fourth one is brand name, and last one is familiarity. It means customers are more aware of about quality not to the brand name and they are also price conscious. we also found that Head & Shoulder shampoo is the best selling shampoo among all of the shampoos.
