What is Hydraulics?
Hydraulics is a topic in applied science and engineering dealing with the mechanical properties of liquids. The theoretical foundation for hydraulics is provided by Fluid Mechanics, which focuses on the engineering uses of fluid properties.
Hydraulic topics range through most science and engineering disciplines, and cover concepts such as pipe flow, dam design, fluidics and fluid control circuitry, pumps, turbines, hydropower, computational fluid dynamics, flow measurement, river channel behavior and erosion.

Force that is applied at one point is transmitted to another point using an incompressible fluid.
Hydraulic Press
A hydraulic press is a machine designed for heavy lifting and compressive force and is also used to cut and punch metal components for use in industrial applications and assembly.
Piston (or ram) -this part pushes the force into the valve after a considerable force has been exerted.

Cylinder
-is the part that transmits the hydraulic oil from the force pump to the piston.
