I was honored to be asked to have my students render a number of Howard County Landmarks to be displayed at the Howard County Courthouse in Ellicott City.
In a six week long graduate program through UMBC, I studied Mexican Arts and Culture in an Intercultural Perspective in Mexico. I developed a unit inspired by Mexican prints to educate students about this rich and colorful nation, address current political and social issues, and break down stereotypes about Mexican culture. I presented this experience at the MAEA State Conference in 2010.
